Earlier this week the Utah Supreme Court said a man couldn't sue the Highway patrol after he fell on his face while handcuffed in a drunken stooper.  Link to story.  Is this guy serious?  He is drunk.  He is driving down our roads.  He is endangering the Utah public.  Thankfully, the cops nab him.  He is so plastered he falls on his face.  Now, he wants to sue the cops becasue he hurt himself becasue he couldn't break his fall?  Give me a break.  Why doesn't he try to sue the bar that got him drunk and let him on the road too!

I am glad to see that our Court dismissed his case.  Cases like this make me embarassed to be a personal injury lawyer.  Rulings like the one handled down make me proud that I practice law.
